They are shared only with the family Ellie died Thursday, January 19, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Clarkson. Ellie was born October 27, 1924, in Leigh, Nebraska to Otto B. and Ella(Ahrens) Asche. She graduated from Leigh High School. On April 8, 1947, she married Merle D. Hogendorn at Zion Lutheran Church in Leigh. They lived north of Leigh after their marriage and in 1956, moved to Omaha. While in Omaha, she worked at Twin Gables Restaurant, Omaha Flour Mill and later took care of children, which she truly enjoyed. They retired in 1981 and moved back to Leigh. Merle died August 30, 2008. Ellie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Leigh. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marge Asche of Omaha, two nephews;Jeff Asche of Omaha and Bruce Asche of Arizona, very close family friends;Bob and Harriet Beckenhauer, Omaha, Andrew Beckenhauer, Chicago, Scott and Ann Gilbreath and family, Omaha, Bill and Amy Pantazopoulas and family of Chicago, John and Claire Beckenhauer, Omaha and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Melvin, Raymond and Clarence Asche and a nephew, Mel Asche. |
