Terri Morrow, 56, of David City, Nebraska, passed away on November 4, 2025. Born on Valentine’s Day in Fremont, Nebraska, to Cecil Hocking and Saralee Herrick, Terri seemed destined to fill the world with love from the very beginning.

Terri made her home on a farm in David City with her loving partner, Wayne Ratkovec, and their treasured pets. She is survived by Wayne; her children Kayli, Jordan, Brycen, and Kaleb; her granddaughter Sara; her parents Cecil and Saralee; and her brothers Rob and David Hocking.

Before becoming the incredible mother and grandmother she was, Terri lived out her first great dream as a professional ballroom dancer. She competed at a high level, owned her own studio, and inspired others to find joy and confidence through dance. Later she built a successful career in sales and marketing where her energy, kindness, and ability to connect with anyone left a lasting impression.

Terri’s passions were endless dancing, singing, decorating, and above all, her deep love for animals. She had a true gift for making every occasion special, whether it was a perfectly chosen Christmas stocking, an Easter basket, or a small surprise “just because.” She never missed a chance to ask about your life, to celebrate your wins, or to lift your spirits with her laughter and warmth. A hug was her trademark farewell—no visit ended without one.

Terri will be remembered for her creativity, her generosity, her sparkle, and her boundless excitement for life’s simple joys. She made everyone around her feel loved and that is the legacy she leaves behind.
