Mark A. Zimmerman was born December 20, 1963 in Rantoul, Illinois to Edwin and Carolyn (Behrens) Zimmerman. He graduated from Leigh High School. He joined the Army and proudly served for 29.5 years and retired with an E7 rank. On December 26, 1983 he was united in marriage to Marie (MacDonald) in Leigh. Three children were born to this union. Mark worked as a mechanic. He also owned the Timberwolf Lounge & Grill in Leigh for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved Nascar and the Minnesota Vikings.
He is survived by his wife, Marie, children: Tracy (Jacob) Kopejtka of Lesterville, SD, Eric of Lincoln, Kelly (Jakob) Pospichal of Leigh, three grandchildren, Torrie, Taytum, and Jayden Kopejtka, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
