They are shared only with the family Duane died Friday, July 2, 2010, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, from injuries received in a car accident north of Schuyler Friday afternoon. Duane was born July 24, 1951, in Columbus, Nebraska to Stephen and Alice(Butterfield) Stoklasa. He graduated from Clarkson High School in 1969. On December 7, 1974, he married Marilyn Cech at Trinity Lutheran Church in Schuyler. They lived on a farm near Clarkson and ran a dairy operation until 2009. Duane was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Schuyler, had served on the School Board for District #30, was on the Board of Directors of Farmers Union Supply in Clarkson and was currently an Elder at Immanuel Lutheran Church, having served in the past as Chairman of the Church Board. Duane is survived by his wife, Marilyn, Clarkson, one son, Jeremy(Marissa) Stoklasa, Clarkson, four daughters; Kristy(Brock) Hoover, Columbus, Kathy(Brett) Struebing, Clarkson, Katie Stoklasa, Lincoln, and Stacy Stoklasa, Clarkson, his mother, Alice Stoklasa, Clarkson, two sisters;Linda(John) Reigle, Lincoln, Lorraine(Rodney) Lebeck, Walnut, Iowa and a brother, Dennis(Mary) Stoklasa, four grandchildren; Jolie, Jaden, Maizie Stoklasa and Jeryn Struebing, and sisters and brothers-in-laws, LaVaine(Rudy) Novak, Donald(Denise) Cech, Howells, Galen Cech, Schuyler, Ron(Dawn) Cech, Howells, John(Julie) Cech, Schuyler, Robert Cech, Schuyler, Dennis and Dan Cech, Schuyler and Nancy(Dan) Martensen, Columbus and his mother-in-law, Dolores Cech of Schuyler. He was preceded in death by his father and two nephews, Tim Reigle and Zachary Cech. |
