They are shared only with the family. Gerald A. Mick, 67, of Bellwood, died Thursday, October 9, 2008, at St. Joseph's Villa in David City. Gerald was born August 24, 1941, in Silver Creek, Nebraska to Joseph and Lydia(Gabel) Mick. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1959. Following high school he served in the United States Army Reserves from July of 1961 to November of 1966. On October 31, 1964, he married Patricia J. Raric at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, rural Bellwood. They lived and farmed near Bellwood. Gerald loved farming, was an artist and also worked as a park manager. He was a member of the Bellwood Legion Post # 327, and served on the cemetery board of Pleasant View Cemetery in rural Butler County. Gerald is survived by his wife Patricia of Bellwood, three daughters, Jene' and her husband Robert Thyren of Rapid City, South Dakota, Lyne' and her husband Steve Rerucha, David City, Andre' Mick of Lincoln, two brothers, Dwane and his wife Jane Mick and Jim and his wife Franny Mick, all of Bellwood, two sisters, Janice Molnar of Hastings and Ann and her husband Don Bell of Monroe and six grandchildren, Brett Thyren, Daniel Thyren,and Laura Thyren ,Aaron Rerucha, Holly Rerucha, and Hope Rerucha. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joann Ebel. |
