They are shared only with the family. Dorothy was born November 18, 1924, in Raymond, Nebraska to David and Ruby(Scott) Legler. She graduated from Schuyler High School and earned a Masters Degree in Teaching from Concordia College of Seward. She taught school for over forty years. On November 18, 1944, she married Harry Lee Morbach in Marietta. They lived in Schuyler and in 1951, moved to the family farm near Bellwood. Dorothy returned to Schuyler following Harry's death. She was a resident of David place in David City the past 3 years and died there on Thursday, November 6, 2008. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Schuyler, Catholic Daughters of America-David City Chapter and was a founding member of the ADK Teachers Sorority. Dorothy is survived by two sons, David and his wife Carman Morbach, Walla Walla, Washington, Joseph and his wife Kathy Morbach, Fort Worth, Texas, three daughters, Doll and her husband Gerald Hamata, Schuyler, Sheila and her husband James Lyons, Kernersville, North Carolina, Kimberly and her husband Richard Claiborne, Fremont, Nebraska, one brother, Bill and his wife Pat Legler, Fremont, three sisters, Evelyn Vanicek, Marilyn and her husband Vern Eilers, all of Schuyler and Marjorie Mihulka of Columbus. Seven grandchildren, Heather(Kevin) Schlautman, Lincoln, Tasha(Rodney) Jedlicka, Schuyler, John(Becky) Morbach and Ed Morbach, all of Fort Worth, Christine Morbach, Anchorage, Alaska, Katheryn Lyons and Christopher Lyons, both of Kernersville, NC. Two step grandchildren Cara(Chris) Sarlo and Jason(Linda) Claiborne, both of Fort Worth Five great-grandchildren, Darin and Carson Schlautman, Miller Morbach, Cody and Daphne Jedlicka. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry, two brothers, Leonard and David Legler, one sister, Betty Bohaty. |
