Betty M. Vandenberg, 97 of DavidCity, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 at David Place in David City.
Private family services will be held for Betty.
Family suggests memorials to David City Public Schools, Hruska public Library or David Place.
Betty was born July 22, 1922 on a farm near David City to Edward C. and Helen (Vopalensky) Allen. She attended David City public schools and graduated from David City High School. On August 12, 1941 she was united in marriage to Benedict Vandenberg in David City. She was a lifelong David City area resident and was a former 4H leader. Betty loved books, dogs, birds and most of all loved her family.
She is survived by her children Claudia (Don) Yindrick of Brainard, Dr. Edward (Marie) Vandenberg of Omaha. Four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, son Russell and husband Benedict.
