Tammy was born October 2, 1961, in Long Beach, California to Robert E. and Carolyn (Dale) Guy. She graduated from Schuyler High School and was married to Charles Zelasney. Together they had two children. On March 15, 1993, she married George Nelson in Las Vegas. They lived in Schuyler and had two children. Tammy worked in payroll at Cargill for several years and later did nails at the Cutting Edge Salon in Schuyler. Tammy loved traveling, bird watching, camping, shopping, crafting and scrap booking. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She taught Sunday School for many years and loved to help people. She was a very caring person.
Tammy is survived by her husband, George Nelson, Schuyler, four children; Andrew (Candice) Zelasney and Chris (Nancy) Zelasney, all of Bennington, and Easton and Shayla Nelson of Schuyler. Also surviving is her mother, Carolyn DeBaets of Papillion, seven grandchildren; Christopher Zelasney, Jr., Trevor, Sierra, Avarie, Ethan, Addison and Annalise Zelasney, brother Mike (Norma) Guy of Seward, sisters Jonna (Aaron) Loewe of Sidney, Iowa, Jolene DeBaets of Valentine, Nebraska, brothers John Griffith of Omaha and Shane (Deb) DeBaets of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Guy, step-father Larry DeBaets and mother-in-law Mary Lee Jindra.
