Russell "Russ" Robert Engelbart, born on June 26, 1963,  in Columbus, Nebraska, to Robert and Loretta Engelbart. He passed away on December 1, 2024, at Faith Regional in Norfolk, Nebraska. He graduated high school from Leigh High School in 1981. Russ pursued his passion for automobiles by earning an Associate's Degree in automotive technology from Southeast Community College. His career started in 1981 at Jenny Oldsmobile in Norfolk where he worked for 11 years, then continued in Iowa for 12 years. He spent the last 19 years at Norfolk GM Auto, where he was known for his dedication and expertise. His colleagues and customers alike appreciated his commitment to quality and service.

Russ married Tina Bethune on October 12th, 1991 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk. From this union two children were born, Whitney and Jarrett. Although Russ and Tina divorced in 2020, they remained close as a family unit. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Beyond his professional life, Russ had a deep love for all things automotive. He spent countless hours restoring Alice Chalmers tractors, a hobby that brought him immense joy and satisfaction. In addition to his automotive interests, Russ enjoyed hunting and tinkering out on the family farm, where he resided. He was looking forward to the completion of a new home, which he had worked on for the last year. He was a great friend and neighbor, and always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His dry sense of humor and sarcasm will be missed by many.

Russ is survived by Tina Engelbart of Norfolk, his daughter Whitney (John) Roberts of Omaha, son Jarrett Engelbart of Norfolk, his mother Loretta Engelbart of Leigh, brother Roger (Lynn) Engelbart of Seward,  close friend Jolene Hake of Leigh, and many nieces and nephews.

Russ was preceded in death by his father Robert "Bob" Engelbart.

Russ will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
