Clarence was born February 19, 1938, in Dodge, to Clarence and Frances (Thiele) Bayer. He attended area schools and graduated from Dodge High School. Clarence enlisted in the United States Army and served for two years. He then returned to the farm where he lived and farmed his entire life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved playing Taroks. Clarence was well known and loved by many in the area.
He is survived by nieces and nephews Shirley Petersen, Kim Bayer, Craig Bayer, Dawn (Doug) Prelle, Brett (Jeanette) Bayer, Lawrence "Loopy" Bayer, Kathy (Brian) Suchan, great-nieces and nephews, Katelyn Bayer, Amy (Brad) Strain, Leigh Petersen and husband David Aldridge, Grant Petersen, Clayton (Myndi) Petersen. Extended Family Alan (Cristi) Krupka and family, Laurie (Tim) Kracl and family, Suzi (Jim) Svoboda and family, sister-in-law Katherine Bayer and many other children he cared for as if they were his own grandchildren." Family" is not always blood, but rather those who love you as you are one of their own. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lawrence Bayer, nephew William Petersen, great-niece, Anita Petersen and Special Friends Helen and Marvin Krupka
