J.D. Meister was born September 29, 1955 in David City, Nebraska to Leo and Janet (Pflughaupt) Meister. He attended grade school at Garrison and graduated from David City High School in 1974. J.D. lived his entire life in the Garrison area. He enjoyed his classic cars and looked forward to Friday nights at the stock car races. J.D. was proud of his years working at Kawasaki in Lincoln and his goal was to get 40 years in.
He is survived by his children, Chris (Jody) Meister of Garrison, Jennifer Meister (Jimmy Buell) of Bellwood. Step daughter Ivy Cemper of David City. Grandchildren, J.C. and Kason Meister, Leo and Britney Buell, step-grandchildren Bryony and Phydra Smith. Brother Jeff Meister of Hutchison, KS, Sisters Dawn Meister of Garrison, Paula (B.J.) Barcel of Bellwood. He was preceded in death by his parents.
