Kevin Gewecke, 58, of Shelby, formerly of Schuyler, died Monday, July 6, 2020 at his home in Shelby

Kevin was born September 24, 1961, in Schuyler, Nebraska to Gaylord and Malva (Spitz) Gewecke. He attended Schuyler Schools and graduated from Schuyler Central High in 1979. On October 24, 2005, he married Lora Wright. Kevin lived much of his life in Schuyler and resided in Shelby the last three years. He was a past member of the Schuyler Volunteer Fire Department and the Schuyler Eagles Club. He also was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed gardening.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Lora of Shelby, daughters; April (Marty) Ernst, Schuyler, Nikki Gewecke, Kelsie Simmons and Bobbie Gewecke all of Colorado and Meagan (Rudy) Garza of San Antonio, Texas, 21 grandchildren, sister, Kim (Dan) Paczosa of Duncan, and many aunts and uncles, including Melvajean Kluck of Schuyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, uncles M. Duane "Kinky" Kluck, Virgil Spitz, Gerald (Evelyn) Spitz, Marvin Gewecke and Wes (Helen) Gewecke.
