Raymond "Ray" L. Stolze, 73, of Brainard, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.

Raymond L. Stolze was born August 3, 1952 in Ventura, California to Eldon and Eleanor "Jean" Hatchard Stolze. He attended high school and later earned a degree in diesel mechanics from Southeast Community College in Milford. Ray served in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1979. On February 8, 1975 he was united in marriage to Gail Lemke in Garden Grove, California. After his service in the Navy they moved to Brainard, Nebraska. Ray had previously worked at Benes Service of David City, Metro Mail in Seward and later at Molex in Lincoln where he retired from. He has also worked as the Maintenance man for the city of Brainard, and was a former member of the Brainard Volunteer Fire Department, serving as an EMT. He enjoyed cars and Ford panel trucks, and was an avid softball player. He is survived by his wife Gail of Brainard, Sons, Craig (Katie) Stolze of Brainard, their children Lyssac and Lily, Steven (Ashley) Stolze of Huntsville, AL, and Brandon (Abigail) Stolze of Eagle, NE and their children Harper and Allison. Brothers Steve Stolze of Oregon, Marty Stolze and Eric Stolze both of Lake Havasu, AZ, sister Suzanne Classen of Eldon, MO. Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
