Nadine Osten, 89, of Leigh, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at South Haven Nursing Home in Wahoo.

Nadine was born April 6, 1935, in Leigh, Nebraska to Theodore and Leita (Olson) Mrstny. She attended area schools and graduated from Leigh High School. On April 7, 1953, she married Arlyn Osten at St, John's Lutheran Church in Leigh. They lived and farmed west of Leigh, moving to town in 1970. She was a proud farm wife and had worked at the local grocery store years ago. Nadine loved the Kansas City Royals, Creighton Bluejay basketball and was very fond of her pets. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Leigh.
She is survived by one daughter; Jacquelyn (Steve) Rezac of Valparaiso, two sons; Stuart (Laure) Osten of Leigh, Mitchell (Crystal Rahn) Osten of Allen, six grandchildren; Erica (Brad) Varn of Omaha, Brad (Leigh-Anne) Osten of Papillion, Katherine (Greg Schaffer) Osten of Laramie, Wyoming, Emilie Osten of Carroll, Anna (Devin DiPiazza) Osten of Stromsburg and Lena Whitewater of Wayne, four great-grandchildren;Sophia and Isabella Varn and Kayleigh and Hadleigh Osten, special friend Clara Osten of
Carroll,many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
