Barbara was born September 4, 1945, in David City to Frank and Lucille (Yindrick) Curda. She attended area schools and graduated from Aquinas High School. She then attended the Lincoln School of Commerce and worked as a receptionist at the Butler County Power District. On October 22, 1971, she married Roger Svoboda at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City. They lived and "hobby farmed" near David City. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Appleton and the PCCW. Barbara was a breast cancer survivor.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Roger of David City, daughter Carmen (Mike) Foltz of Humphrey, son Ryan (Heidy) Svoboda of David City, ten grandchildren; Tristen Foltz, Lance Foltz and his son Weston, Bryn and Evan Foltz, Calib, Sydni, Eion, Wyatt, Serina and Kason Svoboda. She was preceded in death by her parents.
