Betty Connelly, 91, of Genoa, died Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus.

Betty was born August 23, 1932, in Omaha to Ralph and Elizabeth (Mewis) Jones. She graduated from North High School. On January 11, 1952, she married Thomas P. Connelly, Sr. They lived in Omaha, Schuyler, Belgrade and finally settled in Genoa. Betty was an inspector at Vishay in Columbus for many years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, puzzles and cooking. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Janousek of Maryville, Missouri, son John (Betsy) Connelly, Sr. of Columbus, daughter-in-law Elaine Connelly of Beatrice, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas in 1996, son Thomas Connelly, Jr., a great-grandson, great-granddaughter and a great-great-grandson, as well as son-in-law Stanley Janousek.
