Lucille M. Fiala was born October 10, 1924 at Loma, Nebraska to Anton and Agnes (Piscus) Stastny. She attended schools near Loma. Lucille was united in marriage to Ernest Fiala. The couple farmed in the Marietta area for many years. She often baby sat for her grandchildren, and enjoyed shucking sweet corn and pitting cherries with the kids. Lucille was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of David City.
She is survived by daughter Terry (Gerald) McDonald of Bellwood, son Harry (Peg) Fiala of David City. Sister Geri Quigley of Arizona, brothers Adolph (LaRae) Stastny of Columbus, Tony (Bonnie) Stastny of Utah. Eleven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, husband Ernest, brothers Ed and Joe Stastny, sister Helen White, nephew Bill Stastny and grandson Drew Fiala.
