Michael Allen Meyers, 69 of Octavia passed away with family by his side Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln.
Michael Allen Meyers was born December 14, 1956, in Schuyler, Nebraska to Dean and Irma (Freeman) Meyers. Mike attended Schuyler schools and graduated from Schuyler Central High School. He worked in maintenance at Archer Daniels-Midland in Columbus for many years. He loved trap shooting, hunting, camping, taking walks and spending time with his granddaughters. He enjoyed Riverboat Days in Yankton, SD and the Applejack Festival in Nebraska City every year.
He is survived by his life partner Lynn Lauterbach of Octavia, son Eric (Colleen Zajac) Meyers and granddaughters Layla, Nora and Vera Zajac-Meyers of Dwight, and sister Kristyn Meyers of Schuyler and nieces and nephews. He was also “Pop-pop” to Ava (Shelby) Difter, Anna Schlotfeldt and Addi Parris.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Steve.
A Celebration of Life with family and close friends will be held at a later date.
