Thomas "Tom" Mispagel, 68, of David City, died Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.

Tom was born March 13, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas, at Lackland Air force base, to Jerome and Marlene (Englebert) Mispagel. He graduated from high school in Boulder, Colorado and had lived in Kansas, Colorado and eventually settled in Nebraska. Tom was very proud to have served in the Marines from April of 1976 to January of 1981. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. On April 24, 1982 he was united in marriage Tish Kozisek at Marietta Catholic church. Three children were born to this union. Tom enjoyed golfing, camping and anything outdoors. He also enjoyed attending his grandkids activities. He had worked as a grocery manager at Bakers in Fremont.
Tom is survived by his wife Tish of David City, Children Amy (Jason) Ratkovec, their children Gunner and Hadley of David City, Ryan (Kylie) Mispagel and their children, Hope and Ivan of David City, Eric (Raesha) Mispagel and their children Everly, Lyla and Barrett of Seward. Mother Marlene Mispagel of Beloit, Kansas. Siblings Linda (Darrick) Friend, Dan (Kirsten) Mispagel, Jim (Tammy) Mispagel, Bob (Kathy) Mispagel. Many nieces and nephews and extended family and 3 beloved dogs, labs of all colors, Rhiley, Clancey and Harley.
He was preceded in death by his father Jerry, infant sister Paula, Father and Mother-in-law Bill and Betty Kozisek, brother-in-law Billy Kozisek and granddaughter Bristol.
