Cheri L. Person, 51, of Bruno passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 as a result of an automobile accident in Butler County.

Cheri Favors was born on December 31, 1973, in Tacoma, Washington, to Edward and Sharon (Shemek) Favors. She grew up in Columbus, Nebraska, where she attended Columbus High School.
Cheri was a dedicated worker and spent the last seven years at Subway in Columbus, where she enjoyed the familiar routine and the connections she made each day. She was known for her strong work ethic, but above all, her greatest joy was her family. Cheri deeply loved her children and grandchildren, cherishing the time she spent with them.
She is survived by her children: Shayla (Jacob) Nebuda of Rising City and their children, Adelynn Favors, Zayvion Favors, and Emery Nebuda; daughter, Marissa Favors of Fremont; Jared Coughtry of Columbus; Lindsay Coughtry and Lacey Coughtry, both of Columbus. Also surviving are her father, Ed Favors of Bruno; sisters, Jennifer Mead of Bruno and Michelle Favors of Columbus; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Cheri was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Besner, and her stepmother, Marie Favors.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, her quiet strength, and the special way she cared for those around her.
