Bernie "Clem"  Codr, 88, formerly of Linwood,  died Wednesday, July 9, in Cheyenne, Wyoming where he was living with his son and daughter-in-law.

Born on the family farm in Linwood Nebraska, attended rural grade school and graduated from Linwood High School. He married Gail Palmer on July 7 1956. To this union were born four children, Michael, Bernard C., Kelli and Theresa. Bernard farmed around Linwood and after farming he worked as a shag truck driver at the Schuyler packing plant. He was an honorary member of the Linwood Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, wood crafting in his shop, gardening and polka dancing. He was preceded in death by his wife Gail, daughter Kelli, daughter Theresa, son Michael, father Cyril Codr, mother Josephine (Gruntorad) Codr, brother Donald Codr, mother in law Evelyn Longacre, father in law Joseph Palmer, step father in law Ted Longacre, brothers in law William Pokorny, Ernest Polivka, Joe Pelan, Dwight Duncan and Tony Kliment. He is survived by his son Bernard (Bernie) and wife Laurie (Williams) Codr, sisters Dorothy Pokorny, Bernice Polivka, Eleanor Pelan, Regina Duncan, and Henrietta Kliment. Bernard has 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
