Patricia T. Horejsi was born September 26, 1943, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Louis and Marie (Rehak) Eicholz.  She grew up in Dodge, Nebraska, attending Catholic grade school and graduated from Dodge High School..She then attended Bahner Beauty School in Fremont.  On January 12, 1963, Pat married Rainold Horejsi at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge.  They lived and farmed northwest of Schuyler.  Pat was not only a farm wife, she had worked at Cunningham Drug, Bosh's Restaurant, Didier Grocery and was a hostess at the St. Benedict Center.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schuyler, the Rosary Crusade, St. Mary's Guild, the Extension Club and volunteered for the Schuyler Historical Society.

She loved cooking, many of her cookbooks were literally bursting with recipes that she collected.  She was famous for her homemade Mac & Cheese, Chicken Fried Steak, and Peppermint Ice Cream dessert at Christmas time.  She enjoyed working at the Benedictine Center and especially organizing the "Christmas on the Hill" for many years.    She cherished her family and friends, especially attending her grandchildren's events.  She shared with us a strong faith in God.

She is survived by her husband, Rainold of Schuyler, two daughters, Lynnette (Dale) Nelson of Malcolm, Jan (Alan) Keller of Seward,  grandchildren Ryan (Kiley) Nelson, Justine (Scott) Hahn,  Natalie and Joshua Keller, sister-in-law Bonita Horejsi of Schuyler and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marcella (Raymond) Karel and brother-in-law Allen Horejsi.
