Alois Havlovic, 93, of David City, died Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
Alois' wishes were to have private services
Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City,
with Military Honors and Committal at St. Mary's Cemetery

Alois Havlovic was born February 21, 1931 at Prague, Nebraska to Adolph A. and Kristina (Hajek) Havlovic. He attended school at Rescue. On November 2, 1951, Alois enlisted in the United States Army and served in Korea. While in the Army he earned the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze service stars, United Nations Service Medal and Bronze service medal. He was honorably discharged August 21, 1953 at Camp Carson, Colorado with the rank of Sargent. Alois returned home to Prague where he and his brother Dennis farmed and raised cattle and hogs together. They also had a trucking business hauling hay. They moved to David City in 2015. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City, and a member of the David City VFW Post.
He is survived by his brother Dennis, Sister Arlene Palik both of David City and many nieces and nephews. Alois was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ivan.
