Theresa Kruse, 87, of Leigh, formerly of Schuyler, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Clarkson Community Care Center in Clarkson.

Theresa was born November 15, 1936, in Howells to Joseph and Angela (Wieneke) Limbach. She attended North Bend High School and later earned her GED. On August 28, 1958, she married Richard P. Kruse at the Catholic Church in North Bend. They lived in Schuyler until 1990, moved to Clarkson and in 1995 to Leigh. Theresa had worked as a dispatcher for Colfax County and later cooked at Park Place in Leigh. She was an amazing cook, enjoyed quilting and Bunco and loved time spent with her family. She was a past member of the St. Augustine's Guild, the Little Flower Altar Society, the Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star sister. She also belonged to the "Red Hats".
She is survived by her husband Richard of Leigh, six children: Paul (Linda) Kruse of Columbus, Diana (Jim) Dubas, Columbus, Karen (James) Bartley, Costa Rica, James Kruse of Bennington, Jeanette Lass of Schuyler and Kurt (Katie) Kruse of Leigh, 3 brothers, Joseph, Reynold and Robert Limbach, 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Angela Limbach, in-laws Paul and Elsie (Bock) Kruse, son Alan Kruse, son-in-law Tim Lass, daughter-in-law Mary Kruse and three brothers, Richard, Ralph and Henry Limbach.
