Kelly was born September 10, 1962, in Schuyler, to Raymond and Dorothy (Stuchlik) Krivanek. She graduated from David City High School and earned a degree in Culinary Arts/Food Service Management from Southeast Community College. She married Barry Lingenfelter and they later divorced.
Over the years Kelly fulfilled her passion, working at the Western Cafe, catering, had a cafe in Abie, managed the David City Golf Club, CHI Hospital kitchen in Schuyler, and david place in David City. She was a Master at her craft as anyone who ever tasted her desserts can attest. In her spare time she loved time spent with family and friends and was like a second mother to her niece and nephew.
Kelly is survived by her brother, Kerry Krivanek, sister Kim Krivanek, significant other, David Slusar, niece MaKenna Krivanek and nephew Connor Krivanek. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Ding and Marie Marushak and Josie and Paul Krivanek.
