Theresa Anne (Ferris) Grove was born October 21, 1949 to Abraham and Katherine (Browning)
Ferris in Sioux City, Iowa. She was baptized at Immaculate Conception Church. She and her family
lived in Peoria, IL briefly before returning to Sioux City.
She graduated from Heelan High School in Sioux City. After graduation, she worked for Zenith until
the plant’s closing.
She married Eugene Ralph "Gene"Grove on June 8, 1969 at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux
City, NE. The couple made their home in Schuyler, NE after spending 13 years in Dumas, TX.
Terry, as she was known as to her friends and family, loved her work in the packing plant. She took
great pride in her knowledge and skill as a butcher. Her passion for her children and grandchildren
was unmatched. Terry loved the game of football and especially her beloved Huskers. Before
arthritis claimed the dexterity of her fingers, crocheting was a favorite hobby of hers. She was
always an avid reader.
Gone before Terry are her husband, Gene Grove; her father, Abe Ferris; Brother, Dick Ferris;
mother-in-law, Flora Grove; Paternal and Maternal grandparents; Uncles, Chuck, Al and Bill
Ferris.
Left to celebrate Terry’s life are her children, Tina (Gary) Eaton, Eric and  Michael, all of
Schuyler, John of Lincoln,  her precious grandchildren, Heather and Andrew Eaton;mother,
Katherine Ferris of Sioux, City, brothers Jim (Deb)Ferris and Marc Ferris of Sioux City,  sister Mari
(Ferris) Radtke, Sutherland, Iowa,  brother-in-law Larry (Jeannie) Grove; and one aunt, Glory
(Ferris) Majeres, of Sioux City and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends
