They are shared only with the family Theresa Anne (Ferris) Grove was born October 21, 1949 to Abraham and Katherine (Browning) Ferris in Sioux City, Iowa. She was baptized at Immaculate Conception Church. She and her family lived in Peoria, IL briefly before returning to Sioux City. She graduated from Heelan High School in Sioux City. After graduation, she worked for Zenith until the plant’s closing. She married Eugene Ralph "Gene"Grove on June 8, 1969 at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, NE. The couple made their home in Schuyler, NE after spending 13 years in Dumas, TX. Terry, as she was known as to her friends and family, loved her work in the packing plant. She took great pride in her knowledge and skill as a butcher. Her passion for her children and grandchildren was unmatched. Terry loved the game of football and especially her beloved Huskers. Before arthritis claimed the dexterity of her fingers, crocheting was a favorite hobby of hers. She was always an avid reader. Gone before Terry are her husband, Gene Grove; her father, Abe Ferris; Brother, Dick Ferris; mother-in-law, Flora Grove; Paternal and Maternal grandparents; Uncles, Chuck, Al and Bill Ferris. Left to celebrate Terry’s life are her children, Tina (Gary) Eaton, Eric and Michael, all of Schuyler, John of Lincoln, her precious grandchildren, Heather and Andrew Eaton;mother, Katherine Ferris of Sioux, City, brothers Jim (Deb)Ferris and Marc Ferris of Sioux City, sister Mari (Ferris) Radtke, Sutherland, Iowa, brother-in-law Larry (Jeannie) Grove; and one aunt, Glory (Ferris) Majeres, of Sioux City and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends |
