Larry Joe Good of Rising City, Nebraska, passed away February 28, 2010, at the Butler County
Healthcare Center in David City.  He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Joseph M. and
Eudora(Cooper) Good.  He attended public schools in Topeka, Kansas and Grandview, Missouri,
graduating from Grandview High School. He attended Kansas City Junior College.
Larry played professional baseball for several years in the Chicago Cubs farm system playing second
base for the Janesville Wisconsin Cubs and shortstop for the Blackwell Oklahoma Broncos.
He then toured and performed professionally in the field of country music for over forty years,
working with many of the Nashville legends and appearing in every state except Hawaii, with his
bands the Countrymen and the Good Times.  He co-founded Lari-Jon Music publishing company.  In
the mid-1980's he helped launch a TV country music show called "Country with a Touch of Brass",
which was viewed throughout Nebraska.
Larry is survived by his wife, Jennifer Bockholt Good, Rising City, one son Larry Max Good of
Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter, Kathy Kenigson and her husband Roger of Springfield, TN,
grandson Jonathan Kenigson, granddaughter Jessica Kenigson and a sister, Dixie and her husband
Bob Kelley of Topeka, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
